According to the results of trading on January 5, the historical minimum was updated for the first time this year – on January 6, the exchange rate was set at 42 hryvnias and 42.08 kopecks per dollar. Since then, the national currency has lost more than 1.5% compared to the American currency.
According to the data Bloombergon the Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market on January 9, trading ended at the level of 43 hryvnias, 13.5 kopecks per dollar.
On October 3, 2023, the rate moved for the first time since July 21, 2022. For more than 14 months, the official exchange rate was kept at the level of 36 hryvnias and 57 kopecks per dollar.
