In August 2024, Ukrainians purchased 9.1 thousand of all motorcycles, which is 17.5% more than in the same period last year, and 1.2% more than in July 2024.
Such data made public Institute of Car Market Research.
According to the report, among the total number of motorcycles, 58.5% were new (imported from abroad), that is 5,326 units.
On the domestic market, 2,983 contracts for the purchase and sale of motorcycle equipment were concluded, which accounted for 32.8% of the total number.
Only 8.8% of motorcycles were imported used from abroad (798 units).
In the domestic market, Japanese brands Honda (382 sales contracts), Yamaha (274 DKPs), and Lifan (210 DKPs) prevailed among motorcycle manufacturers.
The Institute also noted that the import of motorcycles with mileage continues to be held by the Japanese brands Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki. The products of these three manufacturers cover more than half of the segment, more precisely – 64.1% of the market of two-wheeled motor vehicles.
New motorcycles of Chinese manufacturers are mainly bought in Ukraine: in July, the brands Musstang (821 first registrations), Spark (748 first registrations), and Lifan (720 first registrations) became the leaders again.
