The company has completed all urgent work and will continue to restore the world’s largest aircraft after the end of hostilities.

The employees of JSC “Antonov” completed the defecting of the destroyed An-225 “Mriya” aircraft, which had to be carried out as soon as possible in order to preserve the surviving parts. Now the company has “concentrated resources on more priority tasks for the state.”
The works were financed from a special fund for the reconstruction of “Mriya”, whose balance sheet has collected 3 million dollars. The vast majority of this money was received by the company as royalties from sales of additions to the Microsoft Flight Simulator game with the An-225 aircraft.
According to the contract with Microsoft, the American company provided “Antonov” with 100% of the income in the first year of sales of the add-on to the game, but with the condition that all the collected money must be spent on rebuilding this plane.
The exact cost of the new An-225 aircraft has not yet been calculated. In particular, it will depend on whether “Antonov” will be able to use Russian “Ruslan” aircraft in Canada and Germany as donors of components, which can be confiscated in favor of Ukraine.
