In Transcarpathia, 300 MW of power generation capacity from renewable sources has already been created.
This was reported by the head of Zakarpattia OVA Myroslav Biletskyi in a comment to Ukrinform.
“As of November 2024, the region has 300 megawatts of power generation capacity from renewable sources. This includes wind, sun, and water,” he said.
Also, according to Biletskyi, the first of the windmills installed in the mountains in Nizhnyovoritska TG is already working.
“One wind turbine is working and produces 4.8 megawatts per hour. The second one is on the way – for 5.2 megawatts,” he added.
In addition, the region plans to launch 50 MW of gas generation capacity by the end of the year.
“At present, several 20 megawatt installations have been purchased, the installation process is taking place in Svaliva and Uzhhorod. We are making plans such that by the end of the year, plus or minus 50 megawatts of gas generation should be in operation,” added the head of OVA.
