Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Verkhovna Rada will submit a bill that “ensure the validity of the law enforcement system.” This document should negate any interference with the work of law enforcement and Russian influence. The President stated this during his traditional evening address.
– There will be no Russian influence or interference with the activities of law enforcement agencies, and – it is very important – all rules for the independence of anti -corruption institutions will. And I am very waiting for our group of law enforcement and anti -corruption bodies, from the Prosecutor General of Ukraine proposals of those norms that should work, – the Head of State said.
Zelensky added that he held many meetings with officials and law enforcement officials. He stressed that it was important to give the word to all agencies and listen to their arguments. “It is important that they have said to each other what has been accumulated for a long time. I very much appreciate the agreement on teamwork and measures that can really give a sense of inevitability of punishment, and therefore justice in Ukraine,” Zelensky added.
