President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that exchanges of prisoners with Russia should be continued next week. The Head of State stated this in his traditional evening address.
– We work to return the rest of our people who are now in Russian captivity. We plan that exchanges will continue next week, at least such an agreement is. We hope that the Russian side will fulfill its part of these humanitarian obligations and fulfill as agreed.
Today he spoke with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov about exchanges, about this work. Set very specific tasks. They also discussed the importance of the next diplomatic steps, which should be provided for the negotiation process, – Zelensky said.
Zelensky stressed that on Saturday, during the fourth of the week, the exchange was returned, in particular, the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal. According to the President, they all have the necessary help after injuries, after difficult conditions of captivity in Russia. Among the released are defenders in a very serious condition, he added.
