President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that he has signed and sent a bill to the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes that under the hierarchy of awards the Cross of Merit was evaluated at the level between the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky. He told about it during his traditional evening address.
– Today I signed and sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a bill – a bill actually on respect – for soldiers who They are celebrated by the Cross of Combat merit. This is an objectively high reward, but there is now a cross merit Cross, which has a symbolic weight. We will make the award to give the soldiers real things and according to the hierarchy of awards “Cross of Combat Merit” will be at the level between the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky. As of today, 318 soldiers have been celebrated by the Cross of Combat merit. Everyone deserves our gratitude with you. I ask the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to promptly prepare this bill for voting, – the President said.
