With America and Europe peace can be more reliable, this is our goal – Zelensky

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, amid numerous statements on the terms of a potential ceasefire agreement, stated that he was counting on Ukrainian unity and courage, relations with partners, and the unity of Europe, and pragmatism of America. The president stated this in his evening address.

– Many meetings, meetings today: army command, intelligence, ministers – to prepare for negotiations with the President of the United States of America – General Kellogo is already in Kiev. He has already met with the head of Syrsky, with our leaders of intelligence and special services, as well as with the head of the office. Our meeting with General Kelloga is scheduled tomorrow, and it is very important for us to meet and work with America.

Together with America and Europe, the world can be more reliable, and this is our goal. And most importantly, that it is not only our goal, but in common with partners. Moreover, on the eve of the third anniversary of the beginning of this war – the war we want to end in Ukraine since the first second. I am sure that we will finish and reliable peace. And so that Russia could not come to Ukraine again and to return Ukrainians from the Russian captivity, and that Ukraine may have the future. This is the normal desire of every nation, ”Zelensky said.

In addition, by responding to today’s ambiguous statements by Trump and his associates, Zelensky wrote on the social network the words of gratitude to all partners, including American ones. At the same time, he did not parry Trump’s statement and prove something.

• On February 19, Zelensky stated that before any negotiation with Russia, Ukraine should receive clear security guarantees. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin cannot be allowed to fool everyone again.
• On February 19, US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian colleague Vladimir Zelensky a “dictator without elections”. According to him, the Ukrainian leader allegedly “persuaded the United States to spend billions of dollars in a war that did not need to be started.” The American leader claims that Zelensky “will not allow war” without his “help”.
