Starting from the end of September and the beginning of October, there are almost no official distributors of Apple equipment in Ukraine this year’s models are missing – iPhone 17 of any configuration. At the same time, these devices are available from unofficial dealers (some of which may have been imported illegally), but they are 2-25% more expensive. The press service of “Allo” informed the Informant when to expect the resumption of sales of iPhone 17 in its network.
Currently, it is almost impossible to buy this year’s new iPhone 17 from official Apple electronics sellers in Ukraine (Allo, iSpace, Comfy, “Citrus”, Rozetka, “Foxtrot”, Vodafone, “Epicentr”, “Kyivstar”, TTT, Moyo, Lifecell, Eldorado). The price is identical for all of them, but none of them are in stock. Pre-orders available. However, iPhone 17 is available from unofficial sellers (who import equipment to Ukraine bypassing official Apple offices), but at a higher price.
For example, at official points of sale, the iPhone 17 Pro Max 512Gb costs UAH 79,999 and is still available for pre-order. And at unofficial dealers (who have these devices in stock) – 81.5-100 thousand UAH.
Kyivstar and Lifecell mobile operators were not selling the new iPhone 17 at the time of writing the article. Vodafone has only iPhone 17 Air 256 Gb for pre-order.
As Anastasia Myshchenko, PR manager of the “Allo” marketplace, told Informant, all the new iPhone 17 are in their network were sold in 2 days after the start of sales. We remind you that the official start of sales of the new iPhone 17 line began on September 26 in Ukraine, respectively, at all official dealers, including Allo. Thus, on September 29, it was no longer possible to purchase new iPhone 17 at Allo.
New batches of iPhone 17 for the Allo network are expected next week. That is, November 3-9. Therefore, some buyers will receive their long-awaited “apple” devices.
Why did competitors (unofficial Apple dealers) have Apple iPhone 17 technology on the market earlier and why do they now have it in stock, and why are their prices higher (than official dealers) – in “Allo” they did not give evaluation conclusions and recommended contacting competitors directly.
For comparison: earlier on the “Foxtrot” network, the Informant was informed of similar dates for the new large deliveries of the iPhone 17 – the beginning of November. Rozetka and Eldorado told us that new batches of iPhone 17 in their networks could arrive within 2 weeks to “not yet known when”.
However, most likely, the new batch of Apple iPhone 17 imported through one official dealer – ASBIS-Ukraine LLC – will appear at all official dealers almost simultaneously. However, Foxtrot expects that they will be able to satisfy the entire demand of their customers for the new iPhone 17 only in December. And “Rosetka” predicts that the cost of iPhone 17 smartphones from the new batch may be higher than now for pre-orders.
Earlier, Serhii Teslenko, the head of the department of computer equipment and mobile devices of the Foxtrot network, said in a comment for the Informer that the demand for the new iPhone 17 line turned out to be record – much higher than in previous years. Their network of pre-orders for the 17th iPhone had 2.5 times more than the 2024 iPhone 16. In the first days after the start of sales, there was a temporary shortage worldwide, mainly of the Pro and Pro Max models. In Ukraine, the shortage of iPhone 17 continues.
The “grey market” forms an inflated cost due to the limited number of devices and high demand. Such vendors do not follow Apple’s official pricing policy and may even increase the cost 2-3 times. But if the iPhone 17 model is much cheaper than at official dealers, it is not worth buying is contraband, such devices will not have warranty service, there may be problems with updates and the operation of some applications.
Apple showed the new iPhone 17 at the beginning of September 2025. From September 12, they began to be sold in the world. Immediately after that, customs officers detained the first batch of iPhones in Transcarpathia, which they tried to smuggle into Ukraine. On September 26, iPhone 17 sales officially started in Ukraine. According to the company “ASBIS”, Ukrainians pre-ordered about 20,000 new iPhones from official partners before the start of sales in September.
In 2024, about 1 million iPhones of various models were sold in Ukraine, a large part of which entered the country illegally. During the full-scale war, the number of new illegal (“gray”) iPhones on the market increased from 60% to 80%.
The State Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) launched a special bot in Telegram – StopShadowBot. There, buyers can complain about the following violations:
- Implementation without a check;
- Not a fiscal check;
- The check is not validated;
- The receipt contains goods/services that were not ordered.
