Photo products: State Consumer Service
The State Consumer Service is constantly complaining about improperly specified prices in stores. The most frequent case is one price for Showcase and the other at the box office. This is not a chance, but a violation of consumer rights. On September 25, Andrei Creytor reported on his Facebook page.
What does the law say:
- Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Protection” obliges the seller on time, accessible and accurate to provide the consumer with information about the product, including the price.
- Article 17 of the same Law states that the seller is obliged to ensure the correct payments with the consumer.
“If there is a discrepancy between the price on the price tag and the price at the cash desk, the consumer has the right to pay for the goods at the price indicated on the price tag. Reference to the” Error of the seller “or” outdated price tag “is not a reason for recovering from the buyer a larger amount,” – writes Andrey Creter.
What to do to the buyer:
- Pay the cashier’s attention to the discrepancy in the price.
- Insist on the purchase at the price indicated on the showcase.
- In case of refusal – to record the fact (photo, check, price tag) and contact the store administration.
