What positions are waiting for compulsory possession of English

The Government of Ukraine has approved a list of positions in the field of education and science that requires compulsory English. The rule applies, in particular, executives, scientists, teachers

This was reported by the Cabinet representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.

Volodymyr Zelensky, we will remind, on June 26, 2024 signed a law on the use of English in Ukraine.

The law provides for the official consolidation of English as one of the languages ​​of international communication in Ukraine. They will also identify those positions whose candidates should be aware of English.

Now the government has agreed to positions whose applicants need to know this foreign language.

“Approved in accordance with the Law on the use of English in Ukraine” List of positions in the field of education and science, the applicants for which are obliged to speak English, “Melnychuk said.

He added that the document will come into force four years from the date of termination or abolition of martial law in Ukraine.

Which posts will relate to changes

Changes will be concerned with the following positions:

in universities – deputy heads, deans, heads of the department, professors, scientists, heads of international units;
in colleges – representatives from the international community, heads of departments working with foreigners;
in vocational techniques and administrations responsible for cooperation with other countries;
in scientific institutions – heads of postgraduate studies, heads of publishers, senior researchers, etc.
