On Thursday, April 3, the President of Ukraine arrived on a working visit to Chernihiv. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social networks, he came to “support people in berry and preserve the memory of what happened here during the Russian occupation.”

Ukrainian soldiers liberated the berry from the Russian invaders on April 3, 2022. The occupation of the village lasted 27 days. All this time, Russian invaders kept all the villagers in the school basement. 350 adults and children were without food, water and medicines. Each person was less than a square meter: they had to sleep sitting or standing. In 27 days, ten hostages died in the basement, 17 more people were killed.
