Vodafone Announces Tariff Changes Amid Rising Costs

Vodafone has revealed plans to update its tariff conditions, affecting existing plans that are no longer available for new subscriptions. The changes will not only adjust pricing but also enhance service offerings for subscribers.

The revised tariffs will see an increase in mobile internet allowances within Ukraine and additional minutes for calls to other networks. Moreover, the operator intends to expand the range of services available to customers while roaming in European Union countries. Vodafone has assured customers that they will receive personalized notifications regarding the changes to their plans in advance.

The company cites several reasons for these updates, emphasizing the need to maintain service quality and support network development. Key factors influencing this decision include:

  • Rising costs for energy supply and backup power for base stations;
  • The necessity of equipment restoration and complex logistics;
  • Consistently high demand on infrastructure amid power outages.

Vodafone’s press service stated, “The company is systematically investing in the maintenance and development of the network to ensure stable communication across the country.”

Several popular tariff lines, including Joice and SuperNet, will see price increases. On average, service package costs will rise by 60 to 80 UAH.

New pricing for popular tariffs includes:

  • Joice and Joice Start 2023: price will rise from 260 to 330 UAH/month.
  • Joice Start and Joice Start Special: cost will change from 270 to 340 UAH for four weeks.
  • Joice PRO and Joice PRO 2023: package will cost 390–400 UAH instead of 320–330 UAH.
  • SuperNet Start+: will increase from 260 to 330 UAH/month.
  • SuperNet Unlim: price will rise from 470 to 520 UAH/month.
  • Light+: cost will increase from 185 to 230 UAH for four weeks.

The most significant changes will affect users of the Joice MAX tariff, with prices rising from 450 to 520 UAH, and SuperNet Turbo, which will see costs increase from 250 to 320 UAH.

Vodafone is set to implement changes to its existing tariffs, raising prices while enhancing service offerings. The adjustments are driven by rising operational costs and the need for network improvements.
