Prior to this, 19,800 BTC (~$1.92 billion) from the darknet marketplace was seized.
This is part of the Silk Road coins that started moving in July. The 29,800 BTC was then split between two addresses. In August, 10,000 BTC went to Coinbase.
The amount of 19,800 BTC has now also been split into two wallets. From one, the bitcoins were transferred to an American exchange, the second continues to hold 9,800 BTC for ~$949.23 million.
According to Arkham data, in total, the US government controls 96,097 BTC, 3,657 ETH and other digital assets with a total value of ~$19.6 billion.

In December 2023, the appeals court officially confiscated 69,370 BTC belonging to Silk Road, which has been closed for more than 10 years. The funds were seized in November 2020.
In April 2024, a US government-controlled wallet with 30,174 BTC initiated a transfer of ~2,000 BTC to a Coinbase Prime address.
