Ukrainians started receiving e-mails supposedly from the State Emergency Service about evacuation due to missile attack on the Rivne NPP. This was announced on September 16 by the Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on Facebook.

– Ukrainians started receiving e-mails supposedly from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine about the missile attack on the Rivne NPP, which caused an increased level of radiation. The letters also include evacuation instructions and links on dubious resources, the center said.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine did not send such messages, and the structure’s e-mails were not hacked. Most likely, these letters were sent through duplicate mailboxes and are part of a Russian information attack aimed at sowing panic among the population, discrediting Ukrainian state structures and lowering the level of trust in them.

– If you received such a letter, mark it as spam and in no case follow the specified links. If you still followed the link, contact the Cyber Police, the institution advised.
