Ukraine Launches ‘Point of Support’ Program to Aid Businesses Affected by Attacks

The Ukrainian government has introduced a new initiative called ‘Point of Support’ aimed at assisting businesses impacted by military strikes. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this program to help companies that have halted operations or are in the process of recovery due to damages.

Under this program, employers will be eligible for compensation covering a portion of their employees’ salaries during the mandatory work stoppage. Additionally, the state will reimburse the unified social contribution associated with these payments.

Svyrydenko emphasized that the program is designed to help businesses retain their teams during challenging times, enabling them to recover and continue operations. It also aims to ensure that employees maintain their jobs, income, and social security contributions.

Starting in April, Ukraine will implement several significant changes across social, medical, and educational sectors. Among these changes, working pensioners will see automatic adjustments to their payments, nearly 13 million Ukrainians will receive a one-time assistance payment of 1,500 hryvnias, and employees in extracurricular education will have opportunities for higher salaries.

Furthermore, the ‘Affordable Medicines’ program will expand to include new medications, modern methods for tuberculosis detection will be introduced in healthcare, and veterans will be able to apply for the next phase of the ‘Veteran Sports’ program.

The Ukrainian government has launched the 'Point of Support' program to assist businesses affected by military actions, providing financial compensation for employee salaries. This initiative is part of broader reforms aimed at improving social and economic conditions in the country.
