US President Donald Trump has stated that it would significantly increase duties for India because the country buys Russian oil and does not pay attention to the death of Ukrainians. The American leader wrote about it on the social network Truth Social.

– India not only buys huge volumes of Russian oil, but also sells a large part of the oil purchased in the open market, receiving heavy profits. They indifferent how many people in Ukraine die from a Russian military car. Because of this, I will significantly increase the tariff that India pays the US, – Trump wrote.

From August 1, Trump entered a 25 percent duty on Indian goods for trade with Russia. He also criticized India for Brix membership and close relations with the Russian Federation and called the economy of both countries “dead”. Bloomberg writes that India has become one of Trump’s main goals in an attempt to click on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

  • On July 14, Trump gave President Vladimir Putin for 50 days to cease fire in Ukraine. On July 28, it reduced this term to 10-12 days. Thus, Trump’s ultimatum expires on August 10.
