According to Grigorov, the situation at the border of Sumy region is tense, but under the control of the forces of defense and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The regional authorities are coordinating with the military command. The evacuation of civilians continues from border areas that are systematically fired.

– Almost 900 people have left for safer territories in the last week. District administrations, rescuers, police, volunteer organizations are involved in the evacuation measures. There are transit centers and temporary accommodation points in the region – there are resources for receiving people, – said the head of the regional administration.

Oleg Grigorov assured that “we do not underestimate the threats, but do not exaggerate.” The military is restraining Russia’s attempts to move deep into the Sumy region. The most intense fighting, as before, occur at the border, in particular in the Yunak and Khotin communities. The Russian Federation tries to expand the area of ​​active fighting and operate in small groups.
