US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a short but “very productive” meeting on Saturday in Rome. This was reported in the White House, Reuters reports.

– President Trump and President Zelensky met today alone and have made a very productive debate. More detailed information about the meeting will appear later, – said Stephen Hung, Director of Communications of the White House.

Zelensky confirmed that the meeting with Trump took place but did not give any details. According to O P, the meeting lasted 15 minutes.

The meeting, which became the first after a fierce quarrel in an oval office in Washington in February, took place at a critical time in negotiations aimed at terminating hostilities between Ukraine and Russia. Trump, which demands from both parties to agree on the ceasefire, said on Friday, productive negotiations between his envoy and the Russian leadership and called for the highest level between Kiev and Moscow.
