The head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pishnyi, said that in 2025, the hryvnia exchange rate will remain generally stable, although the foreign currency deficit in the financial system remains significant.

According to him, the NBU does not give forecasts on the exchange rate, and he noted that the rate of 45 hryvnias per dollar laid down in the state budget “is not a goal for the National Bank and never was.”

The publication Bloomberg reported that the euro fell to the lowest level against the dollar in the last two years. The decline occurred against the backdrop of concerns about the European economy and differences in monetary policy with the United States.
