The new commander of the 13th Brigade of NSU “Khartia” became Daniel “Cuba” Kitone

The 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Khartia” has a new head. The post of commander was occupied by Daniel Kitone, known under the call sign “Cuba”. The relevant information was published in the press service of the military unit.

During the official ceremony, the chief of staff – the first deputy commander of the Corps “Khartia” Maxim Golubok – handed the Kitone a fighting flag. The selected commander promised to take the oath and work for the benefit of the subordinates.

– I am aware of the importance I assigned to me. I undertake to take oaths, maintain a combat heritage, take care of the unit and strengthen the authority of our formation, – Kitone said.

Daniel Kitone was born on August 27, 1983 in Simferopol, but spent most of his life in Kharkiv. After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he joined the 127th separate Teburons Brigade. It participated in the Slobozhansky counter -offensive of the Armed Forces and battles for the maintenance of Bakhmut.

In the fall of 2022, Kitone headed the reconnaissance unit of the contradictory struggle, and in the summer of 2023 he received the position of commander of the intelligence company. After the formation of the 13th Brigade of NSU “Charter”, he passed to this military association.

• On June 19, Gennady Shapovalov headed the command of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces.
• On July 9, Roman Marchuk held the position of deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
