The NBU has canceled the license of the insurance company Interrexpress

The National Bank of Ukraine has made a decision to cancel a license for insurance in private joint stock The Interrsepress Insurance Company (EDRPOU 33097568). This was made public on August 29, 2025.

During the unscheduled inspection of the PJSC Interrexpress, which the NBU conducted in May-June 2025, violations were found to threaten the interests of clients and creditors. Among them:

• conducting operations without economic justification;
• late or distorted display of data in contracts and reporting in excess of 10% of the total amount of information and 20% of the minimum capital determined by law;
• Activities that caused a decrease in regulatory capital below 90% of the established minimum within a year after the elimination of previous violations.

According to paragraph 5 of Part 2 of Article 123 of the Law of Ukraine “On Insurance”, such violations are the basis for deprivation of a license. The decision on this board of the NBU approved on August 28, 2025.

The cancellation of the license shall enter into force on August 29, 2025. From now on PJSC IC “Interrexpress” has no right:

• to conclude new or continue current insurance contracts in the areas specified in the license;
• Make changes to the current contracts that increase the company’s obligations to clients in the relevant insurance classes.

PJSC IC “Interrexpress” has operated in the insurance market of Ukraine since 2004, offering a full range of services. She owned the UAAA financial stability rating on a national scale and served more than 120,000 clients.
