A solemn event was launched in Sofia Square in Kiev, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence Day. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traditionally presents state honors to the military and other prominent figures of the country as part of the event. A special representative of the former US President Donald Trump, General Kit Kellogg, arrived in the capital of Ukraine. This is his second trip to Ukraine since the beginning summer season. He attended the country on July 14 and had a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky.
The participants of the ceremony are Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney, who visited Kiev on the morning of August 24 within his European tour.
