The former mayor of Kherson Vladimir Mykolaenko released from Russian imprisonment. The information was confirmed by the public from the words of his niece Anna Korshun-Samchuk. The liberation took place during the exchange of prisoners on August 24.
– This is a real miracle for our family, the most important event in our lives. It is like a gift of fate, because tomorrow his mother has a birthday. It is hard to imagine now that it will still be able to advise her more. We all tear from emotions, we cannot stop and continue to answer the message, – said the relative.
According to her, the wife had the opportunity to communicate with Vladimir Mykolaenko on the phone. His first words were “Glory to Ukraine”. The niece noted that there was no personal contact yet, and the family is waiting for permission to communicate.
– We were only informed that he had been taken to the Ukrainian territory. The sister of Vladimir Vasilyevich and I was called by his wife, who has already informed all relatives,-said Anna Korshun-Samchuk.
Also from Russian captivity thanks to the exchange returned UNIAN correspondent Dmitry Khilukwhich since March 2022 was kept as a civil hostage. This news was published by the Institute of Mass Media for Informing Sources.
