Expirer of Presidential Administration Viktor Yanukovych Andrei Portnov was shot dead in Spain near Madrid. This was reported by the Spanish radio network Cadena Ser and Reuters with reference to sources.
According to local journalists, Portnov led his children to school in the elite area of Madrid, when he was shot – four shots in his chest and one in the head. The police received a report on the shooting at 9:15 am.

- From 2010 to 2014, Portnov worked in the Yanukovych administration by an advisor and the first deputy.
- Portnov left Ukraine on February 24, 2014, declaring an attempt to attempt him. In the same year, the European Union imposed sanctions against Portnov for suspicion of illegal appropriation of public funds and involvement in human rights violations. In March 2015, Portnova was expelled from the sanction list.
