This was stated by the head of the commission, Andrii Gerus, during the discussion of problems related to the debt of the State Enterprise “Guaranteed Buyer” to producers of electricity from renewable sources.

“I propose that we create a working group to develop measures to settle the debt situation on the market,” Gerus said at the committee meeting.

“In this working group, we need to look at what we can do and how to influence further, so that the situation with debts improves – their level decreases,” added the People’s Deputy.

According to him, the options for overcoming the debt problem may be netting, improving payment discipline on the energy market or something else.

Gerus noted that the committee also plans to send a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers for involvement in the search for debt repayment mechanisms and sources.

“We are doing everything possible to pay off old debts and not increase them,” Gerus noted.

It will be recalled that the indebtedness of NEC “Ukrenergo” to the state enterprise “Guaranteed Buyer” for compensation for the service of ensuring an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources (“green” tariff) exceeded 30 billion hryvnias.

Experts and investors call on the state to prevent the further accumulation of debts of “Ukrenergo” for the service of increasing electricity production from RES.
