On August 5, the Base L2 network has suspended blocks. The failure lasted 33 minutes. The project team released a report with details of the incident.

The reason was an error In the CONDUCTOR automatic system, which is responsible for the stability of the network. Due to the high load, the main section began to work with delay. The system tried to transfer the reserve management, but it was not yet fully tuned and was unable to create blocks.

The error in the configuration did not allow the new Sekendor to initiate re -transmission of management – this led to a complete stop of the network.

The engineers manually turned off the conductor to stop the automatic switching. Then they chose a good seven sensor and handed it over – the network was completely restored.

The developers have promised to update the infrastructure. Changes will enable each Senesoir to transfer management in the event of a failure. The team is protesting and making corrections in the near future.

Recall that in July Base activated Flashblocks updates, which reduced the time of creating a block from two seconds to 200 milliseconds. Later, the platform first overtook Solana in terms of the number of running tokens.
