Hackers have taken control of the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India to promote scams related to the company Ripple and the cryptocurrency XRP.

On September 20, the attackers changed the name of the channel with 217,000 subscribers and deleted all previous videos. After that, they launched a fake broadcast featuring Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
Criminals called to invest in a scam token and distributed phishing links.
To grab attention, the video’s title predicted “XRP to rise to $2 this month.”
After some time, the YouTube administration blocked the attacked channel.

Video hosting account hacks are not new to the crypto community. In June, a Dogecoin graphic designer under the nickname DogeDesigner discovered a deepfake YouTube live stream of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk promoting the scam.
It will be recalled that in July 2022, hackers hacked the accounts of the British Army on Twitter and YouTube to advertise crypto-fraud.
