NEC “Ukrenergo” predicted the algorithm of operation during the heating season. Many options for the development of events have been created for any winter period of time. On October 27, the head of “Ukrenergo” Vitaly Zaichenko announced this on TV.
According to Zaichenko, back in the spring and summer, the company predicted that they would be ready for winter and would be able to provide consumers with electricity. However, systematic missile and drone strikes on generation facilities and networks have led to the fact that calculations must take this fact into account.
“In these circumstances, it is quite difficult to guarantee that there will be a constant power supply. One should prepare for the fact that the situation can change quite quickly,” emphasized the head of Ukrenergo.
He also noted that power engineers are working to “eliminate the problem and provide all users with light and electricity.” However, as Zaichenko noted, the situation can transform every day.
“Of course, the main forecast is that we will provide all subscribers with electricity,” summed up the director of Ukrenergo.
He also informed that on October 27, “Ukrenergo” was forced to introduce schedules of emergency power outages due to increased usage caused by cloudy weather.
As reported by the Informant, part of Sumy was left without power supply in the morning of Monday, October 27. The reason is the attack of Russian troops. Schedules of emergency power outages have been implemented in the region. On the morning of October 27, according to the order of NEC “Ukrenergo”, emergency power cuts were introduced in Kyiv, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Schedules of emergency shutdowns have been introduced in the Kharkiv region. The basis for the restrictions is the consequences of past Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Emergency blackouts are also in effect in the Kirovohrad, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions.
