The unannounced visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Kyiv provoked memes in Ukrainian social networks. Most often, users joke about the suitcase that the German leader carried in his hands at the station.
So, blogger Bohdan Protsyshyn drew Matilda from the movie “Leon” for Sholtz. “A whole suitcase of worries,” commented the suitcase in the comments to the meme. Also, Scholz’s suitcase is often compared to a “nuclear suitcase”. Others joked that the suitcase contained 650 million euros. For such an amount Scholz will announce new arms deliveries to Ukraine.
Facebook user Roman Chyzh joked that Scholz “rushed” the next day after the start of the “yePydtrymka” program regarding the payment of one thousand hryvnias to every Ukrainian during the winter.
– Sholtz came to Kyiv. And if he had given me weapons, he could have flown to a peaceful and safe Ukraine by plane – the German Chancellor’s refusal to provide long-range TAURUS missiles to Ukraine is also commented on in social networks.
Sholtz brought a red button to Ukraine.
