According to sources, a man is suspected of conspiracy with hackers in order to obtain part of the cryptocurrency paid by the victims.
DigitalMint President Mark Grens confirmed that one of the former staff is under investigation. The company has released the suspect and cooperates with law enforcement. Digitalmint emphasized that the firm itself is not subject to investigation.
“We promptly took action to protect customers,” said CEO Jonathan Solomon.
In connection with the incident, some legal and insurance companies recommended clients temporarily to give up Digitalmint services.
