– Theoretically, this agreement must be long -playing. And its results should not be expected in Trump’s cadence. At a minimum, Ukraine needs to increase the generation of electricity, which we have nowadays. Therefore, this agreement is, first and foremost, a product of political and ideological direction. Trump wants to show that he can complete the war, although he does not have real ways to do so. In fact, he made it clear that “he does not love Ukraine, but he loves money.” The US president is still 350 billion from Ukraine.

Taras Zagorodniy, political scientist, managing partner of the national anti -crisis group:

– This agreement was imposed on us under the muzzle of a gun, and it will work or work. And we do not need it. Trump invented the moment when Ukraine was flowing blood in this war and wanted to take it even more. But in this form, it will be able to work, and most likely Kiev should withdraw from this agreement. Trump wants to swing resources from us without giving anything in return. That is, if the United States does not reinvest in our country, then we do not need this treaty. And Trump does not want to provide anything at all! So far, this agreement is only a framework that can be terminated at any moment. To a large extent, this contract can be written on the back of the Budapest Memorandum – neither the first nor the second has any weight. After all, in the Budapest Memorandum, by the way, it is written that any (!) Economic pressure on Ukraine is forbidden. But Trump ignores it.

Ivan Stupak, military expert of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future:

– No one will implement this agreement during the war. No American specialist will go to perform it until Russia bombs Ukraine. There are deposits of rare earth materials in Poltava region, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, in particular in Kryvyi Rih. Americans are not suicide. After the war – perhaps, but not before. Therefore, while the war is ongoing – there will be no development of Ukrainian fossils. So this agreement can work in 10 years. As in the case of Afghanistan, which the United States also signed a joint development agreement. And she has not yet worked. So it is just a formality – no one will invest in Ukraine, which is fighting.
