The 2025 inauguration marked Donald Trump’s return to big politics, bringing together political allies, stars and business elites from around the world.
The Times has revealed which of the famous people will be present at the event.
Celebrities on stage and in the hallThis time, the Trump team was able to attract a large number of performers. The headliners are country star Carrie Underwood and the Village People, the band known for Trump’s campaign song “YMCA.” Also invited:
- Lee Greenwood and Christopher Macchio (musical favorites of Trump);
- rappers Waka Flocka Flame and Fivio Foreign;
- singer Kid Rock and wrestler Hulk Hogan;
- Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone.
The Legacy of Freedom Ball will also feature celebrities such as YouTube blogger Anton Daniels, former NFL player Antonio Brown and the Cartier Family of podcasters.
International leadersUS presidential inaugurations are traditionally an indoor event, but this year a number of world leaders have been invited. Among them:
- Argentine President Javier Millay, the first foreign leader to meet with Trump since the election;
- the President of El Salvador, Naib Bukele, and the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Maloni.
Conservative politician Jair Bolsonaro from Brazil said he would attend the event if he received a passport.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been invited but are unlikely to attend.
Great Britain will be represented by Ambassador Karen Pearce, which will be her last official mission before her change of position.
Former US presidentsAmong the guests of the inauguration will be all living former presidents: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and the current president, Joe Biden. The wives of former presidents, including Hillary Clinton and Jill Biden, will also attend the event, with the exception of Michelle Obama, who did not explain the reason for her absence.
Billionaires and business eliteThe inauguration will feature billionaires who made significant contributions to Trump’s election campaign:
- Elon Musk, who donated more than a quarter of a billion dollars and received the position of “king of government efficiency”;
- Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman and Tim Cook, who donated a million dollars each.
In the evening, Mark Zuckerberg will host a black-tie reception to which Trump’s key allies are invited.
Trump’s inaugurationAs UNIAN reported, Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20. He will take the oath and become the 47th president of the United States.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, answered whether he would go to Trump’s inauguration without an invitation. According to him, he would like to be present in Washington on this day, but a visit without a direct invitation from the President of the United States of America is simply ugly.
