As a fresh survey of the Ibris market research institute and public opinion, the leader of the race remains the incumbent mayor of Warsaw and the Civil Coalition Candidate, Rafal Tshaskovsky, who is ready to vote 31.5% of voters. It holds a moderately pro -Ukrainian position, emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s support, but taking into account the Polish interests.
Taskovsky still spoke against the departure of Polish troops to Ukraine: “I do not think that this is a good idea … First of all, we need to end the war, and I hope it will end on favorable conditions for Ukraine.” The candidate also associated assistance to Ukraine with the resolution of historical issues, such as the exhumation of victims of the Volyn tragedy. Thaskovsky supports Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO as part of the Polish state interests.
In the latest debate, Tshaskovsky stated that during his work in the European Parliament he always said that Russia is a threat, and Ukraine should be a buffer zone between Poland and Russia, and Russia should not win this war.
– Peace must be signed on fair conditions, and this is what we need to explain Trump, not just a selfie to do it … Putin understands only the language of power, so we must deter it, we must arm and strengthen our borders, – Tshaskovsky explained.
Karol Navrotsky: “We should not fall into URA-Optimism against Ukraine in the EU and NATO”

The second most popular candidate for Polish presidential rating of 23.6% of the Law and Justice Party, historian and former director of the Institute of National Memory, holds a skeptical position on Ukraine. He stated that, without resolving the issue of Volyn tragedy (exhumation and recognition of responsibility), Ukraine cannot become an EU or NATO member. Navrotsky also stated that “Europe has brought war to Ukraine” because of the mistakes of European elites. This caused the accusation against Navrotsky that he would play Russian narratives. Navrotsky reflected in objections that his position was holding on Polish national interests and historical politics, not actively supporting Ukraine.
– Our strategic interest – as far as possible to push away from us the threat of neo -imperial post -communist Russia. Peace in Ukraine should be long and fair, not just a delayed war. It is necessary for the Polish President to participate in negotiations … And yet we should not fall into URA-optimism against Ukraine in the EU and NATO. We have national interests in this case, – said Navrotsky on May 12 in television.
Slavomir Mentzen: “It will be Crimea in Ukrainian or Russian – it is not our national interest”

The Candidate of the far -right Confederation of Freedom and Independence is far inferior to the favorites of the presidential race with 12.6% of support. He specifically expresses anti -Ukrainian views, arguing that the war in Ukraine is “not our war”. Mentsen believes that Poland should not support Ukraine, especially financially, including Ukrainian refugees. Its rhetoric is aimed at attracting voters who are skeptical of Ukraine.
-First, Ukraine should not lose independence, it should not win Russia, because we do not want Russian troops near Przemysl or Rzeszow. Secondly, we cannot enter this war. We do not want Polish soldiers to die so that Russian bombs fall on our homes. And where the new border between Ukraine and Russia will pass and whether Crimea will be Ukrainian or Russian is not our national interest … I will oppose Ukraine’s membership in NATO, – Mentsen announced.
Shimon Golovnya: “Ukraine has to give us its defense technologies”

Marshal of the Seimas and the leader of the Central Party “Polska 2050” occupies a moderately pro -Ukrainian position. He is critical of the Tusk government’s antimigrant policy and is considered unacceptable to refuse to help refugees who escape from the war. His party supports Poland’s European orientation, which provides indirect support for Ukraine.
In the latest debate, the head called peace in Ukraine “national interest in Poland.”
– But this is a fair peace, not such that someone who stole 700,000 Ukrainian children and wants to occupy five regions of independent Ukraine, will be able to leave it and say: “Nothing happened” … And we need to say firmly with Ukraine, we have three important interests: Polish firms have to receive contracts for the restoration of Ukraine; Exhumation in Volyn must continue; Ukraine has to provide us with its defense technologies, – the head explained. However, it smells of some coercion of Ukraine in favor of Poland, but also the chances of holding a higher position in the country to push this rigid agenda, Shimon’s major are as much as 8.6%.
And everyone else More than nine candidates for Poland’s President can be considered, if not “technical”, then seriously far from the leaders of the race. However, they are unlikely to leave a political party, and their position on Ukraine will sound long enough to listen to it. In general, the vision of those who stayed are not particularly different – all of The establishment of peace in Ukraine, with the continuation of the exhumation of the bodies of the victims of the Volyn tragedy, for the direction of frozen Russian money for the restoration of our country, for participating in negotiations on Ukraine on an equal basis with President of the United States Donald Trump.
Unless the journalist Matsei Matsyak (an independent candidate, which is supported by the Movement for Peace and Prosperity) and directed by Grzegozh Brown (“Confederation of the Polish Crown”), as well as Slavomir Mentzen, is not in favor of Ukraine.
Matsei Matsyak: “Every intelligent person realizes that Ukraine is losing this war. The longer this war lasts, the more Ukrainians will lose their lives, and after this great tragedy, they will begin to look for guilty. I am afraid that our politicians are unlikely to be able to protect us in front of the thesis that it is through you, Poles, we, Ukrainians, have died … We must do as soon as possible, as Hungary and Slovakia – to declare neutrality. ”
Grzezh Brown: “In Polish interests we should not pay for another’s war. Today we give 5% of GDP to Ukrainians, for the disarmament of the Polish army. In addition, a European Wehrmacht will be created for our money. ”
According to a survey of the Ibris Institute for Market and Public Opinion, these candidates take 0.4% and 2.6% respectively.
