People’s deputy Petro Poroshenko, who took the initiative to deprive the mandates of all former “regionals” in the Council, is the first to fall under this criterion and actually proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to terminate his own parliamentary powers, writes the “Law and Business” publication.

Journalists explained this by the fact that Petro Poroshenko is one of the founders of the “Party of Regions”, whose former representatives he calls to be stripped of their parliamentary powers, the publication writes.

“Poroshenko was part of the governments of Viktor Yanukovych and Mykola Azarova as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Economy. And in these positions, among other things, he was responsible for the promotion of the Kharkiv agreements and economic cooperation and the implementation of agreements with the Russian Federation.

P. Poroshenko also promoted his own interests — he mastered the Russian market for the Lipetsk confectionery factory. At the same time, as is known, he did not stop paying taxes to the Russian budget even after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014,” the publication writes.

Journalists recalled the past connections of the leader of “European Solidarity” with Russia and ORDLO and his status as a suspect in treason.

“Currently, Petro Poroshenko is a suspect in the case of high treason. He is in this case together with the best man of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk. Also, as noted by the media, P. Poroshenko still has a joint gas business with former “regional” Nestor Shufrych – in the company “Naftagazvydobuvannya”, – the publication notes.

Also, according to journalists, the people’s deputy compromises the status of his sons of military age. “His son, Oleksiy Poroshenko, is currently hiding in London, avoiding mobilization. Recently, he was declared wanted, as he twice failed to appear on summons to the Pechersk district in the city of Kyiv TCC and SP,” the newspaper reports.

As noted, Petro Poroshenko issued a statement demanding the removal of the mandates of former regional members in the Council. In particular, the People’s Deputy emphasized that he “does not intend to help in the implementation of the scenario when the fifth column of the Russian Federation prepares the landing of an electoral landing force for the spread of the IPSO, the deployment of a hybrid war and the capture of Ukraine from the inside.”

As you know, Petro Poroshenko is one of the founders of the former pro-Russian Party of Regions, which advocated Ukraine’s dependence on Russia.
