Over 1.3 Million Ukrainians Benefit from Fuel Cashback Program

More than 1.3 million individuals in Ukraine have taken advantage of a government initiative offering cashback on fuel purchases. Since the program’s launch, over 200,000 new accounts have been opened under the National Cashback scheme.

Participants in this program receive compensation of 15% on diesel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on autogas. Based on current prices, this translates to savings of between 2 and 11 UAH per liter, with a maximum cashback of 1,000 UAH available each month, as noted by the Prime Minister.

The compensation can be utilized for various expenses, including utility bills, medications, domestic products, or donations to support the Ukrainian military. The program is set to remain in effect until May 1, 2026.

In total, approximately 4.4 million Ukrainians are actively using the National Cashback program. Since the introduction of the fuel cashback, over 200,000 new accounts have been established.

The fuel cashback initiative began on March 20, allowing Ukrainians refueling at participating gas stations to receive up to 15% of their spending back. The government will reimburse 15% for diesel fuel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for autogas, with cashback amounts ranging from 2 to 11 UAH per liter and a cap of 1,000 UAH per individual each month.

The Ministry of Economy explained that the government opted for the fuel cashback model as it does not compromise military support while providing financial assistance to those in greatest need.

The Ukrainian government's fuel cashback program has seen over 1.3 million participants since its launch, with significant savings available for consumers. The initiative aims to support both citizens and the military while facilitating financial relief.
