The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, called to stop the supply of parts for military production to the Russian Federation. He said this in his evening video message on January 24.
The President noted that at night and in the morning today, January 24, rescue operations continued in the Kyiv region after the attack of Russian drones. In total, more than 50 drones of various types attacked the area, and a significant part of them was shot down. But there were also several hits in Brovary and Glevas, there are casualties.
– These are drones, which are already produced in Russia. At first, Iran transferred ready-made Shaheds to Russia, then their own production was mastered in Tatarstan, one of the national territories that Moscow still controls. And although these “shaheds” are actually Russian, they still could not be made there without foreign supplies. Each such “shahed”, like every Russian missile, is made on the basis of foreign components – critical components, without which Russian terror would be impossible in general. Thirty-one “shahed” for the past night are approximately 2,635 components from other countries: microcircuits, switches, transceivers. All supplies of any terror components to Russia must be cut off in order to stop this terror, the president said.
Zelenskyi also noted that this concerns not only the protection of life in Ukraine, because now the Russian “shaheds” are hitting the houses of our people, the infrastructure, but at any moment the Russians can transfer terror to any other country – where they want will order And now different countries are already seeing incidents with drones on their territory.
- On January 23, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that his words regarding the need to deploy 200,000 peacekeepers in Ukraine after the ceasefire agreement was reached were misrepresented. According to the president, their number should depend on how much Ukraine will have to reduce its army.
- On January 22, US President Donald Trump called on Russia to conclude a “peace agreement” to end the war against Ukraine. Otherwise, Washington will increase sanctions against Moscow.
