From December 23 to 29, MicroStrategy acquired 2,138 BTC for ~$209 million at an average price of about $97,837 per coin. Quarterly return on investment shows 47.8% growth, annual — 74.1%.

As of December 29, the company holds 446,400 BTC on balance, purchased for a total of $27.9 billion at an average price of $62,428 per coin.

Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff, president of Euro Pacific Capital, in a comment under Michael Saylor’s post, pointed out that MicroStrategy is buying fewer coins with big money, which is not able to support the rise in the price of the first cryptocurrency.

According to Bloomberg Terminal, public companies Metaplanet and KULR, which previously invested in bitcoins, became leaders of growth among shares of all companies in the world with a market capitalization of $250 million or more. MicroStrategy ranks 17th on the list.

We will remind you that in 2025, the shareholders of Michael Saylor’s company will vote on a proposal to increase the number of securities as part of the implementation of the “21/21” Plan for the purpose of buying bitcoins.

According to JPMorgan, in the second half of the year, public miners of the first cryptocurrency increasingly resorted to MicroStrategy’s strategy of accumulating digital gold.
