And this is not only a worldwide trend, it is especially noticeable in our country because of increasing the importance of life, when every day can be the last.

According to Natalia Slinko, much of what was previously considered a “chic bonus”, in fact has long been a “mandatory requirement”. This “minimum” includes official salary, the opportunity to rest without permanent calls, weekends and leave to restore strength, availability of response to the work performed, open dialogue with the manager about the effectiveness, quality and further professional development. From the experience of Dominica Ivanova-Becar, the aggressive style of managing the manager, which is accompanied by the transition to personal images, is one of the five most common reasons for release. Other common reasons:

  • the lack of possibility of professional growth and career development,
  • negative setting in the team,

If you compare age groups, according to Ivanova-Becar, young people are more sensitive to the issues of violation of personal boundaries, they have a more pronounced request for respect, freedom, development, flexibility. For most of them, phrases like “rejoices that you have taken you at all,” causes, to put it mildly, astonishment, since the offers of working on the market are enough. And in cases where they are not heard or they fall into unhealthy conditions, they are much easier than the older generation, they decide to release.

-Speaking of industries, IT, digital and creative industry are characterized by more flexible conditions, horizontal management structure with a minimal number of corporate hierarchy levels and a healthier corporate culture,-says HR-Expert. – at enterprises in the field of mining, industries, security and defense, farms and, unfortunately, in government agencies, an authoritarian style of management is more common. There are situations where employers abuse their position if they understand that a person depends in some way – as, for example, in cases of booking for men.

– The biggest difference between what the candidate expects and what the employer can offer – in the service area: shops, cafes, various services, – said Natalia Slinko in a comment Briefly about. – For the most part, they are industries with low profitability and significant costs, so historically the salaries are low, but the work itself does not require special qualification. Often, candidates in the IT sphere, where the highest level culture is generally, is decent, but there is a rather toxic environment of the so-called hustle culture (lifestyle, where everything is aimed at achieving professional success.-Avt.). Such a culture of the organization contributes to the fatigue and depletion of employees through artificial stress created by executives.

But it cannot be said that everyone will refuse to work in such an environment, the expert continues. Usually people work and are looking for another job at the same time. Of course, they are not given to work, but perform the required minimum so that they are not released. At the same time, companies, trying to increase productivity, add even more pressure on workers, and they, in turn, are even less interested, and so in a circle. From the experience of Natalia Slinko, about 80% of workers are ready to go to another company. You can only imagine the scale of this phenomenon and motivation to work such specialists.

– Most often, the unhealthy atmosphere is created by the owners who manage themselves, but do not study and do not realize that in the labor market they compete with the global market, not just with conditional LLC on the neighboring street, – Slinko summed up. – Statistically, young people are easier to “nowhere”, and not only because it has clearer personal borders, but also because it does not have so much financial obligations.
