Kyivstar handed over the Venue ultrasound system worth over UAH 2 million to the Nezlamni centerTogether with caring subscribers, Kyivstar continues to support young Ukrainians who need medical help due to burn injuries. Within the framework of the charity project “Children’s Hope”together with the dobro.ua platform, a modern Venue ultrasound system with additional cardio sensors was transferred to the “Nezlamni” rehabilitation center on the basis of the First Medical Association of Lviv, in particular to the St. Panteleimon Hospital. Thanks to the combined efforts of benefactors, donors, bloggers, subscribers and volunteers, Kyivstar managed to collect over UAH 2 million for the purchase of equipment that will help children receive quality medical care.

Burn injuries rank second among children’s injuries and are among the most difficult to treat. Currently, Ukraine is forced to send the most severely burned children abroad due to the lack of sterile conditions and a sufficient amount of necessary medical equipment.

“When it comes to children’s health, every minute counts. We strive for our contribution to the development of medical infrastructure to help doctors quickly respond to new challenges and provide quality treatment. In partnership with dobro.ua, we are taking important steps towards creating a reliable system of medical care in Ukraine and thank everyone who joins our initiatives”- commentsOlesya Olenytska, Kyivstar corporate relations director.

In a matter of minutes the Venue ultrasound diagnostic system allows you to get high-resolution images and diagnose problems, monitor the effectiveness of treatment, determine the need for intervention and even monitor the patient’s condition during and after surgery. Quick and operative diagnosis is the most important “golden” time for saving a child. Because of the war, the load on medical facilities tripled. And the equipment, which served for years, is no longer able to cope with the challenges.

“The Venue ultrasound system is already helping our doctors make quick and accurate life-saving diagnoses. We are sincerely grateful to Kyivstar and benefactors for the help that allows us not only to respond to challenges, but also to provide medical care at the highest level”, —noted Oleg Samchuk, head of the First Medical Association of Lviv.

We will remind that Kyivstar allocated UAH 28.3 million for the purchase of modern medical equipment, and also involves its subscribers in fundraising within the initiative “Children’s Hope”. By working together, we will be able to provide a better future for our children together.
