The JPMorgan financial giant will allow clients to invest in bitcoin, but will not provide services for its storage. This was stated by CEO Bank Jamie Dimon, reports Coindesk.

Despite this step, Dimon did not give up criticism of the first cryptocurrency. He stressed that it is not her supporter and considers Bitcoin an instrument for illegal activity.

“We have been talking about blockchain for 12-15 years. We spent too much on it. It is not as important as everyone thinks, ”he commented.

In early May, the JPMORGAN – Kinexys digital platform – made calculations according to the DVP scheme with a token money in the Ondo Chain test network. Transactions were made using CCIP technology from Chainlink.

In September 2024, Dimon called Jpmorgan one of the largest blockchain technologies.

Previously, he also questioned the fixed bitcoin issue of 21 million coins. In December 2023, at hearing in the US Congress, the banker urged the authorities to “close cryptocurrency” because of potential threats.
