UkrPoshta on receipt of parcel by another person
The client addressed Ukrposhta with the question of the possibility to appoint another person as a recipient. According to her information, parcel was sent to Kharkiv, but the addressee is unable to pick it up. The woman posted the corresponding appeal on August 29 under the news of the company.
On the official portal of Ukrposhta, she found the appropriate instruction. However, the system rejected the track number due to the unsupported type of departure.
“Good afternoon. Explain how to assign another recipient. The parcel is sent to Kharkiv. The recipient cannot take it away. The sender has asked the other person to receive the contents. What should be done to give the new recipient a parcel with products that can spoil in a few days?
The answer of Ukrposhta Representatives of Ukrposhta responded to the appeal. They noted that changing the recipient is not required because there are alternatives. According to the rules of postal services, departures are issued:
- the addressee when presenting a identity document or in the presence of a power of attorney;
- a person authorized by the addressee through a power of attorney, issued in accordance with the current legislation;
- an adult family member subject to presentation of a passport and a document confirming family relationships (birth certificate, marriage, etc.);
- Through SMS code: Upon receipt in the department, the code is generated to the addressee’s phone number. The recipient must transfer this code to another person within 5 minutes.
Documents required to receive mail or transfer To obtain a registered shipment or financial transfer, one of the following documents must be presented:
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine;
- foreign passport;
- military ticket for conscripts;
- certificate of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine;
- another document that has the power of the passport;
- A foreigner’s passport with a visa or a permanent/permanent residence permit issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (in accordance with paragraph 89 of the Rules of Postal Services, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 270 of 05.03.2009).
