Among the advantages of Kona-Node, developers have called safe work with memory, low resource consumption and support for several evidence systems-FPVM, SP1 and RISC0. In this case, the Node code consists only of ~ 8000 lines.

The main difference between Kona-Node from OP-Node is architecture. The new client uses an actual model with messaging instead of a centralized event system. This approach simplifies code reading, improves productivity and accelerates the introduction of new functions.
