In Georgia, on Saturday, November 16, the results of the parliamentary elections were officially approved. At the same time, even before the meeting of the CEC, protest actions began near the building of the Central Election Commission.

At the meeting of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, Secretary Giorgii Javakhishvili presented the members of the CEC with the details of the protocol:

“Georgian Dream” – 53.93% (89 mandates);
Coalition “For Changes” – 11.03% (19 mandates);
“Unity – National Movement” – 10.17% (16 mandates);
Coalition “Strong Georgia” – 8.81% (14 mandates);
“For Georgia” Giorgi Gakharia – 7.78% (12 mandates).

Now the parliament of the new convocation must meet no later than 10 days after the publication of the official results. After that, the deputies have to approve the new government.

During the announcement of the election results, a verbal dispute took place between the head of the CEC, Giorgii Kalandarishvili, and the representative of the “Unity – National Movement” party, Davyd Kirtadze. After that, the opposition poured black paint over the head of the Central Committee.
