The Central Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense has denied that it disseminated messages warning of a special mass attack by Russia on Ukraine on November 20.
– The terrorist country is conducting a massive informational and psychological attack against Ukraine. The mentioned message is a fake, it contains grammatical errors typical for Russian informational and psychological operations, the HUR stated.
The intelligence agency added that this was a measure of intimidation and psychological pressure on Ukrainians society. The GUR urged not to succumb to panic, at the same time not to ignore the air warning signals and go to the shelter.
- On the morning of November 20, the US Embassy in Kyiv decided not to work due to “specific information about a possible significant air attack on November 20.” Then a similar decision was made by several more diplomatic missions, in particular the embassies of Spain and Italy.
- On November 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a new nuclear doctrine that allows this type of weapon to be used to respond to “conventional” attacks on the country.
