The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Resolution No. 1274 dated October 8, 2025, which corrected the list paid services provided by territorial units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These changes entered into force on October 11, 2025, from the day of the official publication of the resolution. The document records the procedure for paid maintenance of alphanumeric combinations online and reservation of ordered numbers, as well as describes the algorithm for obtaining online services. On October 24, the main service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs began to clarify what updates had taken place.
Paid maintenance of license plates Previously, the period of paid retention of the license plate was determined by the owner of the vehicle and payment for the service was for one day of retention. Now, in accordance with the Resolution, the established terms and price of the service have been determined:
- UAH 108 – for maintenance for 10 days;
- UAH 324 – for maintenance during the month;
- 3153, UAH 60 – for maintenance for one year.
The price includes VAT (20%), but does not include the banking institution’s commission.
In the event that the owner of the motor vehicle paid for maintenance for 10 days or a month, but re-registered the vehicle ahead of time (for example, after 5 days), the deposited funds are not subject to return. Payment for paid maintenance must be made on time or the license plates will be canceled on or after the 11th day after the end of the designated maintenance period at 8:00am.
Payment documents for the extension of the retention period of license plates, paid on October 11, 2025 and later, will not be accepted. In such cases, it is necessary to make a payment in accordance with the current requirements of Resolution No. 795 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as to submit a request for the return of erroneously paid funds to the regional offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the relevant region.
Reservation of ordered alphanumeric combinations (LCC) of license plates The validity period of the reservation service for ordered or selected LCC license plates has also been changed – now instead of 10 calendar days, reservation is available for 15 calendar days.
The price of the reservation service is now UAH 162 including VAT (20%), but excluding the bank commission. Previously, UAH 10.8 was paid for each day of license plate reservation (maximum 10 days).
