Legal advice for Roma Photo: Ministry of Justice
If you or your loved ones belong to the Roma community and need legal assistance, you can apply to the free legal aid system. The Ministry of Justice informed about this on October 27.
Within the BPD system, you can get:
- explanation of the lawyer;
- support in drafting complaints, petitions, etc. (with the exception of court documents);
- assistance in applying to the court: defense of interests in court, preparation of documents for submission to court (provided that a person of Roma origin falls under one of the categories specified in Article 14 of the Law of Ukraine “On Free Legal Aid”).
In particular, experts of the BPD system can help representatives of the Roma community in obtaining documents certifying identity and confirming Ukrainian citizenship.

- the procedure for passing the military medical commission during mobilization measures
- granting deferment from conscription for military service during the period of mobilization
