According to the Ministry of Finance, in early September 2025 the average cost of ten eggs ranges from 67.90 to 72.53 hryvnia. Experts expect Continuation of the tendency to rise in prices.
“Egg prices will probably start from mid -September, as the period of delivery from private farms and small manufacturers ends. Industrial production will remain stable,” – explains the analyst of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business Maxim Hopko.
Economist Oleg Pendzin points out that accurate forecasts for price dynamics will be possible after the collection of corn at the end of October. This is due to the fact that 70% of the cost of eggs depends on feed prices for poultry.
“Further price movement will be determined after the cost of feed. This is a key factor for market analysis,” said economist Oleg Pendzin.
In November 2024, a sharp jump in egg prices was observed – 40% higher than the October level. The reason was the rise in the price of corn due to the minimum crop last year. According to NAAS of Ukraine, in 2025 it is expected to collect corn about 27 million tons, which corresponds to 2024.
