On the night of January 1, the Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with attack drones. Administrative buildings of the Verkhovna Rada were damaged during the shelling. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk announced this on Facebook and showed a photo of the consequences of the shelling.
– The blast wave damaged the surrounding buildings, including the administrative buildings of the Ukrainian parliament, where the committees and units of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are located, Stefanchuk said.
For him he said, law enforcement agencies and special services worked on the spot yesterday, and recorded the consequences of the enemy attack. An assessment of the damage is currently underway.
– Despite the damage, the relevant units of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus are making maximum efforts to promptly eliminate the consequences of the attack and ensure the smooth operation of the Verkhovna Rada and its bodies, – the head of the Verkhovna Rada added.
