A man stole things worth 2,997 hryvnias from the Epicenter due to the loss of employment
The man is accused of malicious possession of goods and pans from the Epicenter for a total cost of 2,997 hryvnias. The mentioned actions were carried out due to a difficult financial situation, in connection with dismissal from work. This is stated in the decision of the Obolon District Court of the city of Kyiv, published on June 2, 2025.
On April 26, 2025, a man in the store of “Epicenter K” LLC secretly took and placed in a shoulder bag goods and a frying pan with a total value of 2,997 hryvnias without VAT, thereby committing an administrative violation provided for in part 2 of Article 51 KUPAP. During the court session, he fully admitted his guilt in the presented administrative violation, explained to the court that he committed the theft due to difficult financial circumstances, as he was left without a job.
What penalty was imposed by the court? The court found the man guilty of committing an administrative offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 51 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and sentenced him to a fine in the amount of one hundred tax-free minimum incomes of citizens, which is equal to 1,700 hryvnias, as state income. A court fee in the amount of 605 hryvnias will also be collected from him in favor of the state.
